What if my Cladix facade isn't in line with the rest of the facade?

A misaligned Cladix façade: how to correct height differences and when to call in a professional.

A difference in alignment is easy to spot. Therefore, when positioning, always keep in mind the profile thickness of 15 mm.

Still, it can happen that your cladding is a little too deep or just sticks out. Here's how to deal with that.

Is the cladding too deep?

Good news: you can usually solve this easily via the support structure.

You can:

  • Add extra thickness with pads
  • Using timber or adapted battens
  • Correcting the support structure locally

Because Cladix is mounted on a separate support structure, you can make adjustments here relatively easily without rebuilding the entire facade.

Does the cladding protrude?

When Cladix extends beyond the existing façade, the problem is usually in the base wall or in the structure's superstructure. In that case:

  • Are major adjustments often needed to the basic wall
  • Does a simple retrospective correction usually not suffice

One possible solution is to use a L-profile to tightly finish the beginning and end of the cladding. This camouflages minor differences, but does not solve major structural discrepancies.

You can easily order the L-profile together with your other Cladix profiles in the same colour.

For major adjustments, it is best to switch a professional In.

When is it best to call in a professional?

In case of bigger level differences or doubts about the construction of your wall, it is better not to take a risk.

A professional can:

  • Assessing the situation technically
  • Suggesting the right correction
  • Ensuring a visually clean finish
