You can combine them with aluminium cladding, but also with wood, uPVC, render or brickwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is a skirting board?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reveal is the space between the window or door frame and the front of the fa\u00e7ade. How deep they are depends on the position of the window within the fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cladix.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ChatGPT-Image-23-sep-2026-14_24_22-1290x968.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7218\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a rebated frame, these surfaces are clad on the outside with aluminium sections that are folded to the dimensions of the opening. This creates a finished frame around the joinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The terms <strong>reveal frame, reveal cladding, reveal finish, aluminium reveal<\/strong> and <strong>window frame<\/strong> are often used in practice for the same or similar solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A frame with a top and bottom edge can consist of three or four sides:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>3-sided<\/strong>: a top and two sides. At the bottom, for example, there is a separate window sill or threshold.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4-sided<\/strong>: a top panel, two side panels and an aluminium sill combine to form a single finish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Cladix, both versions are made to measure, with a depth ranging from 100 to 350 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is an aluminium reveal frame made?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Cladix, aluminium reveal frames are custom-made in five stages: measuring, cutting, bending, welding (if required) and powder coating. Each frame is tailored to the window or door opening, the fa\u00e7ade structure and the chosen installation method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Determining production sizes<\/strong><br>First, we determine the width, height and depth of the frame, the number of sides and the necessary connections. The dimensions of the window opening are not necessarily the same as the manufacturing dimensions of the reveal frame.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cutting aluminium to size<\/strong><br>We cut the aluminium sheets to size based on the final production dimensions.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Folding the parts<\/strong><br>Next, we fold the aluminium to form the sides, the top and, in the case of a four-sided frame, the bottom edge.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finishing the CRW or CRH system<\/strong><br><br>In the event of a <strong>welded CRW reveal frame<\/strong> We weld the parts together to form a single prefabricated unit. We then sand down the welds so that the corners blend smoothly into one another. The welded corners ensure the frame is watertight.<br><br>In the event of a <strong>Crocheted CRH day-side frame<\/strong> The components remain separate. Thanks to the hook connection, the fitter can assemble them on site or in the workshop. This makes CRH more compact for transport and more cost-effective to produce.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Powder coating and inspection<\/strong><br>Finally, the complete CRW frame or the individual match the colour of the frame to the window, the cladding or other fa\u00e7ade elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cladix offers five standard colours from stock: jet black RAL 9005, walnut brown, white RAL 9010, light grey RAL 7035 and dark grey RAL 7016.
